The Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman Press (SBUKP), established in 1985 as a department of Shahid Bahonar University of Kerman (SBUK), is one of Iran’s leading academic publishing houses. Located in Kerman, it was founded to support the university’s educational mission and has since played a central role in disseminating scholarly research and academic works across diverse disciplines. Over the past decades, the SBUKP has published more than 400 books and over 25 journals in both Persian and English, thereby making a substantial contribution to the advancement of knowledge, covering fields such as the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences. Today, given the prominent role of SBUK in promoting scientific and cultural development within society—particularly as a symbol of higher education in Kerman—and considering both the rapid international advancements in science and publishing and the evolving domestic and regional needs, the SBUKP operates with the following objectives:

 - Expanding the frontiers of knowledge through the publication of original and innovative works;
 - Promoting science by publishing high-quality research aligned with global academic standards and national priorities;
 - Preserving the Iranian-Islamic written heritage through the publication of distinguished and enduring works;
 - Enhancing the quantitative and qualitative dimensions of Iran’s publishing industry, while modeling international best practices. This includes an emphasis on self-reliance and economic empowerment through collaboration with reputable domestic and international publishing institutions.

    Since its establishment, the SBUKP has played a vital role in Iranian academia by fostering scholarly communication and safeguarding Iran’s intellectual heritage. Today, it continues to be an integral part of the academic landscape, supporting research and scholarship while promoting cultural and scientific dialogue within Iran and beyond. By publishing numerous titles each year across a wide range of fields, the SBUKP not only increases the visibility of Iranian scholarship but also contributes to the global academic community.
